The Political Principles of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD)

Political concepts developed and put into practice during the postwar period in Germany have proven themselves to be unequivocal failures. The unification of the partial states of "East" Germany (the German Democratic Republic) and the Federal Republic of Germany has created a situation that the established parties of this country are unable to deal with effectively. Relying on yesterday's political strategies, these parties are hopelessly attempting to cope with a new political situation caused by the collapse of communism in Europe, mass immigration from the Third World, the deindustrialization of our society, and a growing materialism which has affected our country's life at all levels.

Nevertheless, the ruling class of bougt politicians and media bosses persist in steering the course of our society down the same worn-out path, leading us toward a dead-end and offering no workable solutions to current problems. Growing mistrust of the government by the German people has been the inevitable result. The government has responded this situation by offering yet more dubious, unworkable "solutions", which has only served to fuel an already explosive situation. With increasing frequency, the ruling class has been pushing for the creation of a "multi-cultural" society. They obviously believe that it will be easier for them to maintain power, once the German people have been replaced by a more easily controlled and manipulated "mixed" population. By contrast, the NPD takes the position that the ruling class must be replaced in order to secure a future for the German people and to insure Germany a place of honor in the family of European nations.

We National Democrats stand in opposition to the antequated ideologies of the past. We stand against false liberal utopias based on an unrealistic picture of mankind. We stand against the excesses of government "ethnic diversity" programs, to which the German people have been subjected for so long. We stand opposed to those forces in favor of the continued foreign control of our country, as well as the overpopulation of our homeland with foreign peoples.

As we fight for the freedom of the German people, we are fighting for the freedom of all sovereign peoples. In this spirit of freedom, we shall strive to create a new social order in Germany, based upon a more realistic picture of mankind. Real freedom includes the freedom to express one's views (especially political views) in a public forum, without fear of retribution by a hostile government. This basic freedom is denied many Germans, simply because they express views that the ruling class does not happen to like. Real freedom also includes the ability to live and prosper inside secure borders, as well as having the ability to defend those borders against foreign invaders. Today, Germany continues to be flooded by a rising tide of unwelcome foreigners, with the government either unable or unwilling to deal with the problem.

1. The Foundation of the State is its People

The foundation of all human values stems from a sense of rootedness in specific cultural values and in a specific ethnic identity. For this reason, the state has a responsibility to protect these values, and thus can only owe its allegiance to one specific people.

The various peoples of the world are the bearers of their specific cultures. The peoples of the world differ in their language, heritage, historical experience, religion, values and consciousness. Those peoples which are especially conscious of their unique cultural identity, are those whose cultures have been most threatened in the past. The survival of the world's various cultures depends on the survival of the various peoples of our planet. To promote the survival of the world's various peoples is also to promote the survival of their cultures. By contrast, mere "societies" develop no culture, but (at best) reach a certain level of "civilization". "Multi-cultural" societies are in reality non-cultural societies, which inevitably lead to the destruction of true cultural diversity on this planet.

Germany is the homeland of the German people, and must remain so in the future. The survival of the German people - and the protection of Germans everywhere - should be the first priority of German politics. To this end, we would seek friendly relations with other nations of the world. Only together can we stop the worldwide destruction of our precious cultural heritage. Only together can we put an end to the imperialist, "multi-cultural" forces determined to shackle the sovereign peoples of this planet to a materialist, non-cultural, New World Order.

2. The Foundation of Our People is the German Family

The most important institution of society is the family. For this reason, the German family must enjoy the special support and protection of the state. The destruction of the traditional family structure in the last decades is a sign of the materialism that currently has our society in its grip. But this is not a situation that we cannot overcome. In our new social order, the German family shall once again take its rightful place at the very center of our society.

The family is the living bearer of our traditions, passing these traditions on from one generation to the next. Through the family our language, culture and rites are passed on to our children, and these continue to live on in them. The family is also the bearer of our biological heritage. A people who would look away, as the institution of the family is destroyed before their very eyes, will not inhabit this planet for very long. Without strong and healthy families, there cannot be a strong and healthy people. Expectant mothers and as-yet-unborn children require our special protection in this regard.

Growing up within a family provides the child with a natural environment in which to develop. This is the best preventive medicine against the ills afflicting today's troubled youth. For this reason, the work of the housewife and mother must never be seen as the mere equivalent of other occupations, especially since this work requires such a wide variety of skills and the highest degree of responsibility. Housewives and mothers should receive financial support from the state according to the number of children per household.

Housewives and mothers should not be forced to work outside the home - the work of caring for a family is work enough. Old-age benefits must also be granted for the work involved in raising a family.

3. The Powers of the State Are Granted by Its People

Rule by the people presupposes a "community of the people". The values and goals of a healthy political organization must be concurrent with those of the people it is supposed to represent. The state itself must be above involvement in the petty politics of special-interest groups, and its prime responsibility must be to the entirety of its people. The ability of the people to have control over those in power is of vital importance. The people must have the means of deciding upon the legality of government actions and policies. The people must also have the ability to remove and replace the government - by democratic means - if the government is unable or unwilling to meet its responsibilities to its people. Those in power who believe themselves to be above the law, must not be tolerated.

The influence of the people in the decision making process should be strengthened through plebiscite and direct elections. An end must be made to the monopoly on opinion-making by those in power, who seek to insure their future pay-checks at all costs. We must put an end to their policy of "freedom of speech only for those expressing fashionable opinions".

4. A Healthy Economy Must Serve the Needs of the People

The economy of a healthy nation should never be a completely autonomous entity, but must serve the interests of the people as a whole. The state must establish firm ground-rules for the regulation of its economy, and actively influence its direction, if need be. It is not the people who should be made servants of the economy, but rather the economy which should be made to serve the needs of the people.

The focus of National Democratic economic policy should be on the creation of an effective synthesis of a free-market, private enterprise oriented economy, bound to regulations insuring the social responsibility of economic practice. For this reason, the NPD supports the idea of free and socially responsible entrepreneurs. But it is the state, finally, which must insure that the economy is organized in such a way as to benefit the entirety of its people.

The unification of the two German states, and the accompanying collapse of the planned "state-capitalism" of "East" Germany, created a disasterous economic situation - a situation that the Bonn regime was unable to master, relying entirely on its antequated non-solutions to contemporary problems: the sale of former government business and industry to private enterprise, in recent years, has led directly to the record unemployment we see today - an unemployment rate higher than at any time since 1945. To counter this situation, we would favor greater support for small businesses (especially in "East" Germany) as a step in the right direction.

5. A National Economy

The German economy, including those foreign companies which find themselves on German soil, should be duty bound to promote the financial security of the German people, as well as to respect Germany's spiritual and cultural life. Germany's land, people and ecology must be seen as an organic whole. Economic interests must neither endanger Germany's environment, nor serve to alienate her people from their own history and culture.

Employees of a given company should also be the recipients of a portion of that company's financial gains. This policy would not only increase worker productivity, but would also give German workers a sense of their true value as an integral part of Germany's economic life. The workers of a nation must never be degraded to the point where they feel themselves to be mere interchangeable parts of an uncaring, irresponsible economic machine.

The NPD rejects the current trend towards the "globalization" of the German economy. Experience has shown us that this trend leads ultimately towards the destructive policy of "maximum financial gain - regardless of future consequences". The NPD also rejects this policy, while it has led to mass unemployment in the past.

The NPD calls for an economic policy which will safeguard German living-space and the well-being of the German people. International trade is an essential part of every nation's economy. "International" considerations, however, should never overshadow the interests of a sovereign people.

6. National Solidarity: Providing for the General Welfare

A community of the people must have at its foundation a system of social justice. In the broadest sense, social politics is the solidarity of all members of a people. The people as a whole has the responsibility to insure the well-being of the individual members of the community.

We are desperately in need of social policies which neither contradict the idea of social justice, nor interfere with the workings of a healthy economy. Such policies would have as their goal: the raising of the people's standard of living, assisting individuals who blamelessly find themselves in financial difficulties, and insuring the financial security of the elderly.

Social policies which promote the dreamy idea of a "super welfare-state" - that is policies which put all of the burden of responsibility on the shoulders of the workers and producers of society - are the very antithesis of healthy, progressive social policies. The state must insure that the individual's wages or salary are enough to maintain a humane standard of living.

We feel, as National Democrats, that our social policies should favour the disadvantaged in our society. In this regard, foreigners should no longer be able to claim benefits from the German social security system. This should not be interpreted, however, as a form of group-egoism. In our new social order we envision a state dedicated to social justice and security of the general welfare; a state which owes its sole allegiance to its own people.

An end must be made to the never ending stream of so-called asylum seekers currently flooding into Germany. The government has even substantiated the fact that the greater procent of these individuals is not legally entitled to receive asylum benefits. The government, however, seems unable or unwilling to put an end to this outrageous waste of the German people's tax money. The right of asylum should only be granted in the case of genuine political persecution. We rightfully see Germany as the land of the Germans, and we must therefore begin caring for our own people first. The welfare of Germans should never be of lesser importance to that of "asylum seekers".

7. Germany is Not a Land of Immigrants

Unlike many other countries in the Western world (America, Australia, etc.) Germany - throughout its national history - has never been a land of mass-immigration. This had been the case until the end of the Second World War. During the post-war period, the masters of high finance, the government and the labor unions all collaborated on a plan which brought millions of foreigners into Germany. By importing these foreigners (working for incredibly low wages), a class of modern-age slaves was created in Germany - a situation not created by the German people, but by those who had been set up as the ruling class of post-war Germany.

This same political course continues to this day, in the form of a misanthropic "integration" policy for unassimilable foreigners. This policy threatens the cultural identities of Germans and foreigners alike, in that a severing of the individual's cultural and ethnic roots is actively promoted, leading to such social problems as the break up of the traditional family, among other things.

In countless cities foreign ghettos have sprung up, leaving those Germans remaining behind a minority in their own country. Life for Germans in these neighborhoods - in the school system, as well as the general social climate - is unbearable. With Germans and members of ethnic minorities naturally separating into opposing factions, a very real threat to Germany's inner security has been artificially created by those in power.

Forging a new political course designed to avert such a catastrophe should be of interest to all concerned. Putting an end to impossible "integration" schemes would be an important step towards a brighter future in this country. The right of all sovereign peoples to insure a future for their children, to maintain cultural hegemony within its country's borders, and to self-determination are all inalienable rights. The upholding of these rights must have precedence over unconditional, shortsighted financial benefits of cheap foreign labor to our captains of industry. Members of foreign ethnic groups currently working in Germany should enjoy the privilege of maintaining their cultural identity during their stay in our country. In addition to benefiting the individuals in question, this will infinitely simplify their repatriation in the future.

8. German Sovereignty in a Europe of Many Fatherlands

The entire European continent finds itself blindly stumbling from one crisis to the next. In recent years, we have witnessed record unemployment, outrageous national debt, ethnic conflict and civil war. In short, the result of a "European Union" led by clock-watchers and technocrats. Irresponsibility, corruption and incompetence have marked the EU bureaucracy.

An unholy union of multi-national bureaucrats and paper-pushers - in favor of voting rights for foreigners, the replacement of the German Mark with a "European" currency, etc. - is presently in the process of putting a final end to the sovereignty of the German people. This is tantamount to treason against Germans of the past (those who fought for a free German people), present and future (our children and our children's children); a betrayal of our heritage, our culture and our national economy.

Throughout the world, the rejection of the utterly insane idea of "multi-cultural" unity is making itself felt. The foundations of a new social order in Europe must be based on the ideas of national sovereignty, the self-determination of peoples and of the principle of ethnic integrity. A Europe of many fatherlands - based on the above principles - could realistically replace the unworkable EU nightmare which is now upon us.

9. A Germany Within Her Historical Borders

The "re-unification" of Germany was not completed with the unification of "East" Germany (which is, historically speaking, Central Germany - the real East Germany being East Prussia and Silesia) with the Federal Republic of Germany.

Injustice can never be the foundation of lasting peace between neighboring peoples. This tragic fact was clearly shown in the past decade, in which the people from the Balkans to the Baltic suffered from belated side effects of the First World War.

The theft of our historical homeland in the East is unacceptable, and violates every concept of human rights. We stand firm in our support of a solution to this problem; a solution which will lead to lasting peace, and one which also takes the human rights of Germans into consideration.

The world is currently in a state of reorganization. It is being organized along more natural lines than those dictated by those in power earlier this century. Germany is no exception to the rule. As a part of this reorganization - in accord with human rights laws - Germany must once again be re-united within her historical borders.

10. A People Without a Past is a People Without a Future

For the sake of future generations of Germans, Germany needs a view of national history which reflects the continuity of the history of its people.

We stand firmly against the spiritual suicide of our nation, caused by endless accusations of German guilt for "the past". We stand against the rehabilitation of our nation's traitors; and we stand against the "official" policy of ignoring Allied war-crimes (against Japan, as well as Germany). For this reason, we call for the following:

•An end to the one-sided, anti-German teaching of our history. •Support for the principle of independent historical research, which must never suffer because of state ordered censorship.

11. The Laws of Nature as the Foundation of All Life

Germany's landscape has been shaped by her history and her culture. For this reason, the protection of the environment cannot easily be separated from the idea of protection for the native culture and people of this country - which is German.

Man is a part of nature, which is why nature cannot simply be seen as the "environment" of mankind. The materialism of past decades has caused almost irreparable damage to the natural foundations of our lives. The irresponsible industrialization of farming, the "citifying" of Germany's towns, and the restructuring of Germany's oldest cities has been led by the established parties in this country. The fixation of the current system with the material value of things - with the mere economic utility of nature - has led directly to man's estrangement from nature and from his traditional cultures. The result: the average individual is becoming a rootless cosmopolitan, lacking cultural identity and a sense of "connectedness" to nature as a whole.

We must not think of preserving our environment in mere economic terms. Preserving our environment - the very foundation of life itself - must take precedence over the economic viability of business interests. For this reason, we National Democrats favor the idea of supporting family farming, especially in less prosperous areas of our country. Large businesses must operate in accord with ecological safety standards, and also be held accountable for violations which endanger our environment.

12. The Education System is a Part of a People's Culture

Because of its foundations in the mistaken dogma of the "equality of all human beings", our education system has been subjected to senseless "reforms" in the area of higher education. This has left our education system in the horrendous state it presently finds itself. Behind the whole scheme, is the notion that a new social order might be created by following the advice of liberal social-scientists, anxious to "prove" that it is possible to create a society of individuals who are all equally talented, creative and productive. This is a theory which flies in the face of everything we know about nature - human and otherwise.

Our experience shows (supported by scientific research) that individuals differ greatly in their inherent talents, abilities and productivity. Not to take such factors into consideration is to undermine the idea of higher learning itself. In addition to producing incompetent "scholars" - incapable of competing in an ever competitive world - such a system brings with it other tragic consequences: an increased rate of emotionally disturbed children, as well as crime and drug addiction among young people. The utter failure of this system of education is made quite apparent in the fact that Germany currently lacks an intellectual elite. For this reason, special attention must be paid to gifted young people in the future.

We National Democrats believe in the natural principle of diversity of life, as well as that aspect of this principle which is expressed in nature herself and in the world's cultures. This is why we recognize and respect the natural inequality of human beings. We do believe, however, in the equality of everyone before the law.

13. Reforming Our System of Justice

The "German" justice system currently finds itself in a sorry state of affairs; we see the persecution of dissident political organizations, as well as the de facto tolerance of drug dealers by "German" judges. These problems have been created by those now in power. This situation tells us that we are governed by a ruling class which "interprets" existing laws to suit its own purposes. Such a system makes a mockery of the idea of justice, and ruins the lives of tens-of-thousands of young people every year.

This is why the NPD calls for the following reforms:

•More support for the victims of violent crime. •Creating laws which will hold members of the justice system responsible for willfully unlawful decisions. •Reorganization of Germany's police force, enabling them to do the job they were intended to do - namely, protecting Germans from criminals. •Granting amnesty to victims of the former "East" German justice system. •Bringing back the death-penalty for child murderers and for previously convicted sex-criminals guilty of repeat offenses. •Repatriation of foreigners who have commited crime in Germany; the fact that they may have to serve much harsher prison terms in their homelands as a result of this policy should not affect the repatriation process, as a general rule.

14. Military Policy Must Have a National Policy as its Foundation

Under normal circumstances, those in the military service honorably serve the interests of their people. This is why the NPD favors service in the Bundeswehr (as the current German Army is called) for young men. The courageous record of German fighting men of the past should serve as a shining example for future German soldiers. Every soldier must have a sense of the values he defends as he serves his nation. He must never be misused and made to serve as a mercenary for foreign interests. The ultimate decision making power over the Bundeswehr - and the fate of German soldiers - must remain firmly in German hands.

The national security of Germany must also mean military security. A national security policy must have as its goal the maintaining of peace in Europe. Likewise, a European security policy must serve the inner-security interests of Europe.

German armed forces must never be misused as a tool of international super-powers. For this reason, the NPD favors a German withdrawal from NATO; in its place, the NPD would welcome a European security force. United Nations' military missions would accordingly take place without German support - that is, until the U.N. takes Germany off its "enemy states" list, and until the U.N. accords all nations the same rights under international law.
